The name of this card is called “le sauveur” in French. It can be translated as “the savior” in English. If you notice any translation errors in this article, please let us know for our entire community. You can leave your comment at the bottom of this page.
The savior is a valiant knight who wishes to participate in the dramatic triangle, where the victim and the executioner already play. The savior intervenes in 2 ways. Either the victim asks him, or he intervenes in a fortuitous way without being invited. In both cases, he will use his strength to confront the executioner and make him bend. The savior then becomes the executioner’s executioner. At this point, the executioner becomes a victim of the savior. The victim will thus be able to ally himself with the savior for himself to become an executioner in his turn.
We can have the image of the savior as in the Christian religion, where the victim becomes the savior of humanity for Christians. Just as certain heroes in their time become zeros when history evolves, mores change or ignorance sets in. The role of spectators is important. The vision evolves over time between the role of savior and executioner. However, the savior is a virtuous person who believes he is doing good or is actually doing good according to his own ideas. Finally, the executioner and the savior have common characteristics, it all depends on whether we are spectators or victims.
