Hanging from the pillory, arrows stuck in the skin, the victim suffers. She’s crying, it’s hard. She perceives her executioner and is only waiting for a savior. The victim is not necessarily physically injured. Moreover, the role of the victim is largely mental in our contemporary societies. The suffering endured by this creates empathy in us. This empathy can take hold of us, but be careful not to enter into the play of the dramatic triangle which would place us as saviors of this situation , unless we want to play it.
The victim has real suffering, which is sometimes expressed by behavior that is inappropriate to certain situations.Being a victim is a status that many people enjoy. Because when we are victims, we are esteemed in the gaze of the other and that is comfortable. We attract attention, we focus our suffering. So, to stop this victim state, you have to get out of this triangle. Stop playing, find our inner security and hunt the executioners around us. The victim must unbind, remove the arrows, heal their wounds, and rebuild themselves in a new realm. We have all been victims, let us find the path of serenity and peace of mind. Let’s put words to our ills, forgive and move on. A new life begins.
